Pullman Transit held a public meeting at the WSU Visitors Center meeting room on April 26, 2011. The agenda was to review Pullman Transit's proposed Route changes. Since adding service to the Community Action center and Wal-Mart it has been noted that the I Route cannot efficiently handle the extra mileage in its route and stay on time. Also, the J Route is a challenge to keep on time as well, especially in the afternoon. Therefore Pullman Transit is looking at making some major changes to the fixed route configuration on the South side of town. Pullman Transit is proposing the following:
1) The J route will be discontinued.
2) The I Route is redesigned and will no longer provide service to Golden Hills or up on Campus.
3) The Loop Route will be extended to operate all day from 6:50am to 9:10pm.
4) We have developed a new route (Name TBD) that will provide service from Golden Hills and Wawawai road to Thatuna
and Campus and then around to Stadium Way and Spokane Street.
The North side will not have any changes at this time and we are keeping the A and E Routes the same. We encourage all members of the public to attend the meeting to review our proposed changes and add any comments or concerns that they may have.
